AIRWAY HEIGHTS, Wash. -

Troopers with the Washington State Patrol say the woman who drove through a fence at Fairchild Air Force Base Sunday night had been huffing keyboard cleaner prior to driving.

22-year-old Arika McDowell has been charged with D.U.I. and Reckless Endangerment of a Child because her 14 year-old brother was in the car at the time of the crash. Troopers say McDowell's brother said the car was traveling over 100 miles per hour, and he actually had to unbuckle and take control of the car to get it stopped.

A search warrant was obtained to sample McDowell's blood. KHQ asked the Washington State Patrol if it was common for drivers to be arrested while high on keyboard cleaner and they said while it is not unusual for people to inhale the cleaner, it is not something they run into very often when making a D.U.I. arrest.

McDowell was released to family members.
