COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho -

CDA Police are asking for your help locating 49-year-old Michael Morehead. He was reported missing back on Nov. 22nd. Monday detectives pinged his phone and determined he is somewhere in the Fernan Saddle area. That area is heavily wooded.

On Tuesday detectives were not been able to determine his location due to him being too far away from a cell phone tower. Morehead's family told police he has been suicidal in the past and that he does have firearms in his possession.

Kootenai County Sheriff's Office searched for Morehead in the area identified by detectives but were unable to locate him or his vehicle. The Sheriff's Office plans to continue to search for him with the deputies assigned to the backcountry. The Forest Service has also been notified and asked to be on the lookout for him.

Detectives say Morehead is driving a 2006 Gray Dodge R25 pickup with Idaho License K10ROE.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call Coeur d'Alene Police at 208-769-2320.
