Missing Mother & Son Have Been Found & Are Safe

SPOKANE, Wash. - The missing Spokane mother and son have been found and are safe according to Officer Teresa Fuller.
We will update this story as soon as we get more information.

PRESS RELEASE FROM THE SPOKANE POLICE DEPT: Spokane Police are asking for your help to find a missing mother and her son. 46-year-old Cathy Hastings and her 19-year-old son Ryan Hastings were last seen around 10:00am Wednesday morning walking to a doctor's appointment in the Northpoint area.

Both of them have medical problems and police are concerned about their welfare due to the cold weather. Anyone with information is asked to call 911.       

Cathy Hastings is a white female, 5'6, 165, brown eyes with short balding hair. She was last seen wearing a black, faux leather, knee-length coat with fur around the hood.  She is recovering from a recent bout of pneumonia and due to other medical conditions she walks hunched over.         

19-year-old Ryan Hastings is a white male, 6'1", 220lbs. He has the mental capacity of a toddler and struggles with mobility. He was last seen wearing a heavy green, vinyl jacket with a flannel pattern and blue jeans.

    DENTON, Mont. - A large wolf-like animal was shot and killed May 16 by a rancher near Denton, Montana. It now has wildlife officials and the public wondering what it was, according to KFBB. The animal came within several hundred yards of the rancher’s livestock. Montana Fish, Wildlife, and Parks (FWP) said in a statement the rancher shot it and reported it as required by law.     After a driver didn't stop for a Spokane Valley Deputy and tried to run away, K9 Bane found him hiding in a building. Yesterday morning, Spokane Valley Deputy James Wang saw a driver who didn't signal as he turned from Mission onto Vercler. Deputy Wang followed the car and saw as 30-year-old Brandon Ross, made a U-turn and went back to Mission. Deputy Wang turned on his lights and signaled for a traffic stop.

    DIETRICH, Idaho (AP) - Residents of an Idaho town have been told not to drink the water after a fired municipal worker was found dead in his home by emergency workers who were hospitalized after entering the residence. Dietrich Mayor Don Heiken says 62-year-old Tom Young was found dead Thursday. Heiken fired Young earlier this month. Heiken says there's concern Young contaminated the drinking water well serving the community of 300.
