Sheriff's Office: Local Teen Arrested For Sexually Motivated Crimes

PRESS RELEASE FROM THE SPOKANE COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE: On Wednesday, December 4th, 2013, Spokane County Sheriff's Sexual Assault Unit Detective Chuck Haley arrested 18-year-old Joseph E. Preble for numerous felony charges in connection with unlawful sexual relations with a minor child. 

Preble was booked into the Spokane County Jail on the felony charges of 2nd Degree Rape of a Child, 2-counts of 2nd Degree Child Molestation, Sexual Exploitation of a Minor, Communication With a Minor For Immoral Purposes, Witness Tampering, and Violation of a Sexual Assault Protection Order. The victim is a middle school student.

    PENSACOLA (AP) - Authorities say a Florida couple left a boy alone in a trailer for about two months.    The Pensacola News Journal reports that 34-year-old Jennifer Nichols and 32-year-old Joshua Sanders were arrested Nov. 30 and charged with child neglect. Officials didn't say how old the boy was or how he was related to Nichols or Sanders.
