SPOKANE, Wash. - Many airlines have commemorative art they display on their airplanes to pay tribute to various things. Over the past 20 years, KHQ's Reed Schmitt has had a hobby of photographing planes as the fly in and out of Spokane International Airport. Reed sorted through over 30,000 photos to gather all of the planes he photographed that displayed commemorative art.

Some feature the logos of universities in the cities they serve, others are based on the flags of the states they fly to. Some are retro liveries which depict the airlines' early looks or an airline that they merged with. A couple paint schemes feature pro sports teams. There are even Disney characters, a giant salmon and an orca as well.

OMAK, Wash. - I can picture the Austin Powers bit now.  The people of Omak looking up at the sky and seeing a giant (Fill in the blank innuendo here) just like in 1999's Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me. If you're unfamiliar, I'll save you a Google search.  A simple, yet effectively funny joke.  Except the U.S. Navy doesn't see humor in the real-life version at all.
