SPOKANE, Wash. -

UPDATE: The scene at the Federal Courthouse in downtown Spokane has cleared after law enforcement was on scene for much of Thursday morning after a suspicious device was found.

The FBI wouldn't go into great detail about what was found, but they did say that a package that required "attention" was caught this morning through normal screening. The bottom two floors of the courthouse were evacuated while the bomb squad investigated. Roads in downtown Spokane were also blocked off.

After several hours, the scene was deemed safe and employees were let back into the building. At this time, it is unclear exactly what the package was, but the FBI says it was not harmful.
