Suspect Can't Hide From Ekko

PRESS RELEASE FROM THE SPOKANE COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE: On December 13th, 2013, Spokane County K-9 Deputy John Cook and his partner Ekko responded to the 2500 block of West Dean Avenue to assist SPD in locating a suspect actively violating a Domestic Violence Protection Order. 

Deputy Cook received information from SPD Officers that 55-year-old Phillip Lindgren was inside the residence which was a violation of the order. Deputy Cook received further information that SPD had been on scene for approximately 30 minutes and Lindgren refused to come out.  

After making several announcements inside the residence, Deputy Cook and Ekko searched the apartment. Within a couple minutes, Ekko entered a closet near the back of the residence.

Ekko located Lindgren hiding under a large pile of clothes where he was taken into custody.  Lindgren was booked into jail for Violation of a Domestic Violence Protection Order.

    SPOKANE, Wash. - A retired Spokane Police captain is fighting for his life in the hospital.   Keith Cummings and his wife Holly were on vacation in Costa Rica and got into a head-on crash with another truck on Friday. In an online fundraiser, their daughter, Rachel Durkin, said her mother is recovering in a hotel room with several facial fractures and a pelvic fracture.

    ELKHART, Ind. - A photo of a child playing in leaves close to an Indiana road has gone viral across the country.  Jordan Weaver, a UPS driver in Elkhart,Indiana, shared the photo on Monday. He spotted the young boy while delivering packages on his route and wanted to raise awareness of a safety issue. The child is seen hiding in a pile of leaves.

Grohl served his Backbeat Barbeque at Fire Station 68 in Calabasas on Monday night. Firefighters, who have been battling the Woolsey fire, thanked Grohl on Instagram.    His publicist did not have any details.    Grohl posted an image on Instagram telling firefighters to "Dig in!"
