UPDATE: Coeur d' Alene Teacher Arrested On Rape Charges; Appears In Court

COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho -

UPDATE: Taylor appeared in court on Tuesday. The judge set his bond at $50,000. It was a preliminary hearing. The judge ordered Taylor to stay away from the victim and two other juveniles that lived with the victim. Taylor did not enter a plea.

PREVIOUS STORY:

A Venture High School teacher in Coeur d'Alene, Daniel Taylor, has been arrested on four different felony charges for the sexual abuse of a minor. 

Taylor is charged with felony rape, forcible sexual penetration with a foreign object, as well as lewd conduct and sexual abuse of a minor under 16. 

No bond has been posted. Taylor's first court appearance is scheduled for Tuesday at 2pm. He's currently housed in the Kootenai County Jail.

The Coeur d'Alene school district confirmed these are not allegations for any students. Police say they're looking into family allegations. Taylor's bio also says he has young children.

Taylor moved from Colorado and has been living in Coeur d'Alene since August 2011.

The truck was being handled by 49-year-old Raul Topete Arreola and 48-year-old Aquileo Perez Pineda. Both men have been charged with three counts of trafficking meth.

    NORTH BEND, Wash. (AP) - Authorities say the cougar that attacked two cyclists east of Seattle, killing one of them, appears to have been emaciated. Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife Police Capt. Alan Myers said Sunday that the cougar was about 100 pounds (45 kilograms), when a typical 3-year-old male in the area would be 140 to 180 pounds (63 to 81 kilograms). A necropsy will try to determine why the animal was underweight.

    SEATTLE - A mountain biker who survived a cougar attack that killed his friend east of Seattle is recovering in the hospital. Photos show Fish and Wildlife officers with a male cougar they shot and killed following Saturday's attack in a remote area near North Bend.  Officers believe it is the same cougar that killed 32-year-old SJ Brooks and injured 31-year-old Issac Sederbaum.
