UPDATE: Coeur d' Alene Teacher Arrested On Rape Charges; Appears In Court

COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho -

UPDATE: Taylor appeared in court on Tuesday. The judge set his bond at $50,000. It was a preliminary hearing. The judge ordered Taylor to stay away from the victim and two other juveniles that lived with the victim. Taylor did not enter a plea.

PREVIOUS STORY:

A Venture High School teacher in Coeur d'Alene, Daniel Taylor, has been arrested on four different felony charges for the sexual abuse of a minor. 

Taylor is charged with felony rape, forcible sexual penetration with a foreign object, as well as lewd conduct and sexual abuse of a minor under 16. 

No bond has been posted. Taylor's first court appearance is scheduled for Tuesday at 2pm. He's currently housed in the Kootenai County Jail.

The Coeur d'Alene school district confirmed these are not allegations for any students. Police say they're looking into family allegations. Taylor's bio also says he has young children.

Taylor moved from Colorado and has been living in Coeur d'Alene since August 2011.

    SPOKANE, Wash.- Spokane Police are looking for the person responsible for robbing a north Spokane pot shop and gun point and shooting an employee Tuesday night. Police say a man wearing dark clothing walked into Starbuds Cannabis on east Francis and held two employees up at gunpoint. The robber fired a round, hitting one of the employees. The victim was taken to the hospital with a non-life threatening injury.
