It's December, so of course it is snowing! However, with the winter wonderland comes slick roads. The Washington State Patrol says that between 10:30am and 8:00pm on Friday they responded to a total of 90 collisions in Spokane, Adams, Whitman and Stevens County, including a fatal crash on I-90 just east of Ritzville.

The City of Spokane Valley says they have crews out plowing primary and secondary arterials and hillsides and they will continue to monitor conditions to respond as needed.

Elderly or disabled persons who are physically and financially unable to remove snow or ice are encouraged to call 2-1-1 for referrals to assistance that may be available.

To let us know about snow or ice-related roadway concerns, please complete a Spokane Valley C.A.R.E.S. Snow Plow/Removal Form any time of day at www.spokanevalley/cares or call 921-1000 during regular business hours.

The City of Spokane says they will also have crews out. For the latest information click this link: http://spokanestreetdepartment.org/snowplow.htm or call the Snow Hotline at (509) 456-2666.
