SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. -

A Spokane Valley man says he will have to spend the rest of the year saving his money after someone came to his house early Thursday morning and stole his Christmas lights that he spent all 2013 working to purchase. Randy Schell is legally blind, but there are still very few things he can see.

That's why he bought the Christmas lights. He said he used them to spread Christmas cheer, but they also serve as a marker for where to stop plowing when he reached the end of the driveway during the winter months.

Schell thinks it was somewhere between 3:00-5:00 am when somebody came by his house and stole the lights. He didn't even know they were gone until his mother walked in at 10 a.m and told him.

Schell says he wishes people would realize who they were hurting when they steal. Now he will spend his new year raising money so he can try to spread Christmas cheer next holiday season.

ATHOL, Idaho - With the total solar eclipse just days away, many people are scrambling to find a pair of glasses to safely watch the once-in-a-lifetime event. The first 200 people in the park get a free pair, the remaining 2,800 will be sold for $6 each. Glasses are only given to people who buy an admission ticket.

COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho - As you may have heard, eclipse glasses are getting harder and harder to come by. As we get closer and closer to Monday's total solar eclipse, demand for solar eclipse glasses has skyrocketed in stores and online. Most stores we've contacted have reported being sold out of the eclipse glasses, so your best bet now is to grab a pair at a local viewing party.
