SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. -

Deputies with the Spokane Valley Police Department say they are looking for a man who stole several thousand dollars worth of jewelry from a store in the Spokane Valley Mall on Friday.

Craig Chamberlin with the Spokane County Sheriff's Department says employees at Zales Jewelers told deputies a man ran off with a wedding set from the store in an unknown direction. They believe he was around 27-years-old, and was wearing a dark hoodie and dark jeans.

When deputies arrived on scene, witnesses said they possibly saw the suspect running north from the mall towards Best Buy. Deputies did locate a vehicle in that area that had been reported as stolen from Sacred Heart Hospital, though it is unclear if the suspect used that vehicle.

Witnesses also told deputies they saw the suspect flee the scene in a different vehicle behind the Best Buy that struck another vehicle while leaving the area. Right now detectives are looking to get surveillance video from businesses in the area.

Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward for anyone who has information leading to the arrest of the man responsible. You can call the Crime Stoppers Tip Line at 1-800-222-TIPS, or you can visit their website at www.crimestoppersinlandnorthwest.org. You can remain anonymous.
