Eastern Washington University wide receivers coach Junior Adams is leaving the Eagles to take the same position as part of head coach Bryan Harsin's staff at Boise State.

Adams, 34, has coached many highly touted receivers, including the 2013 All-American and Jerry Rice Award Winner (FCS Best Receiver) Cooper Kupp and a trio All-Americans in 2012--Nicholas Edwards, Greg Herd and Brandon Kaufman--who combined for 603 catches, 8,713 yards receiving and 83 touchdowns in their time Eagle uniforms, in his five-year tenure at EWU.

Adams was a All-American receiver at Montana State University after transferring following the 2000 season from Oregon State where he played for head coach Dennis Erickson. Adams has coached at MSU, Prosser (Wash.) High School and Tennessee-Chattanooga before joining the Eags in 2009.

"I am extremely grateful for everything Coach Adams did for our program over the last five years," Eastern Washington head coach Beau Baldwin said. "We are going to miss him, but we are very excited for him and the opportunity he has at Boise State."
