1 Dead, 2 Hurt In Hit-And-Run Vancouver Crash

VANCOUVER, Wash. (AP) - Police say a hit-and-run driver plowed into three people walking across a Vancouver street, killing one of them and injuring the other two.

The crash occurred about 8 p.m. Sunday at the intersection of Northeast 72nd Avenue and Northeast Vancouver Mall Drive.

A police statement says witnesses reported that four pedestrians were walking in the crosswalk when a fast moving pickup truck hit the three.

The two injured were hospitalized, one with life-threatening injuries and the other with less serious injuries. The fourth person, a child, was not hurt.

The suspect vehicle is a white older Toyota with front end damage. Police are also looking for black pickup that also left the scene and may have also truck one or more of the victims.

And just like the goods in her shop, CJ is on her way to a new life, one far from the one she once lived.
