    STEVENS COUNTY, Wash. - The Washington State Patrol says the man who caused the crash that killed 32-year-old Aaron Huff on Friday, told officers he leaned over in his car to grab a piece of paper. It is something almost every driver has done and right now, WSP thinks the distraction is what caused the driver to cross over the center line and hit the car driven by Aaron Huff.>>
    STEVENS COUNTY, Wash. - The Washington State Patrol says the man who caused the crash that killed 32-year-old Aaron Huff on Friday, told officers he leaned over in his car to grab a piece of paper. It is something almost every driver has done and right now, WSP thinks the distraction is what caused the driver to cross over the center line and hit the car driven by Aaron Huff.>>

UPDATE: The driver killed is identified as 32-year-old Aaron Huff of Chewelah. Troopers tell us that Huff's wife is 9 months pregnant and she's due any day now. This is their first child into the family.

The other driver who was transported to the hospital is identified as 20-year-old Jacob Kraght. Kraght was driving a red Dodge truck, Huff was driving a Kia Spectra. Our thoughts and prayers are with Aaron's family during this very difficult time.

UPDATE: The driver of a red pickup truck was driving southbound and crossed the center line. The truck collided with a Kia. The  driver of the Kia was killed. The male victim, who's from Chewelah, has not been identified.

The driver of the pickup truck was transported by ambulance with serious injuries to Sacred Heart.  US 395 is now back open. We'll post more details as we get them.

KHQ.COM - Trooper Jeff Sevigney with the Washington State Patrol has confirmed that one person has been killed in a 2 vehicle collision on US 395. One other person has been transported by ambulance to the hospital. The accident happened just before 6:30 AM on Friday at milepost 214, about 3 miles South of Addy.

Lanes are closed in both directions and are expected to be closed for some time. Expect delays.

    SPOKANE, Wash. - The collision on SR 291 near mile post 9 is now fatal according to Sacred Heart Hospital.A 17 year old female was driving in a four car sedan that was in the northbound lane going southbound when it struck the motorcycle head on.62 year old Robert White was taken to Sacred Heart Hospital where he was later pronounced dead. He was wearing a helmet.>>
