SPD: Two Additional Pharmacy Robbery Suspects Arrested

PRESS RELEASE FROM THE SPOKANE POLICE DEPT: Collaborative work between detectives from Spokane Police and the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office leads to the arrest of two additional suspects in connection to recent pharmacy robberies at the Albertsons on N. Nevada and the Shopko on N. Newport Highway. 23-year-old Dale Cusick was arrested and booked into the Spokane County Jail on charges of 2nd Degree Robbery. Additionally, a juvenile male was also arrested for 2nd Degree Robbery for his participation in the robberies.

Cusick and the arrested juvenile male are believed to be associates of the two other suspects arrested for robbery of other area pharmacies, 33-year-old Jacy L. Thomson and 35-year-old Phillip J. Powlus.

SPD and SCSO detectives believe they have enough evidence to connect the four persons arrested: Thomson, Powlus, Cusick, and the juvenile male to seven area pharmacy robberies.

SPOKANE, Wash. - From the outside, the Repeat Boutique looks like a lot of other thrift shops in Spokane.  Inside, some might describe the stuff for sale as old, used, discarded garbage -- but store manager CJ Curtis sees its potential. And just like the goods in her shop, CJ is on her way to a new life, one far from the one she once lived.

SPOKANE, Wash. - "He told me to pull over, and my jaw just dropped," a Spokane woman, who says a fake police officer tried to pull her over, doesn't want to be named. In fear, this could happen again. "It really scared me and kind of threw me off that night. I don't even want to drive by myself anymore," she said. She tells me that she was driving around North Spokane at night on her way home from work.
