Fugitive Friday: CAPTURED: JD Miller

KHQ.COM - This week’s Friday Fugitive is JD Miller. Miller has a Department of Corrections escape warrant out for his arrest. He was released in December from Airway Heights Correction Center, spent a few nights in a half way house in Spokane and then disappeared. He’s required to check in with a DOC officer, but hasn’t. The 33-year-old is 5 foot 10 inches, 168 pounds with blue eyes and blonde hair. If you know where Miller is hiding out, investigators want to hear from you right now. Here's the number to call 1-800-2-2-2-TIPS.

Crime Stoppers of the Inland Northwest tells me anonymity is a big deal for people with information on suspects. A lot of times tipsters are closely affiliated to the wanted fugitive, but the people at Crime Stoppers tell me they’re not at risk of being identified.

Board Member Pat DeVries says “In the 30 years that I’ve been involved, at least that I know of, we have never had a tipster have to appear in court or forced to identify unless they've chosen to do so themselves."

Crime Stoppers even tells me they're able to give these anonymous tipsters a reward without ever knowing who they are. It involves a bank, a codename and a process that gets money to the tipster and protects their identity.

If you have any information that could lead investigators to Miller call 1-800-222-TIPS.

*NOTE* This Fugitive Has Been Captured
