SPOKANE, Wash. – Keanu Yamamoto scored a goal late in the third period off of Connor Chartier’s assist, but it wasn’t enough as the Chiefs fell to the visiting Prince Albert Raiders by a final score of 4-1 at the Spokane Arena on Wednesday night.

The Chiefs were whistled for six penalties, allowing Prince Albert to capitalize on one of the opportunities in the second period. The power play goal game just a few seconds into the one-man advantage, directly after Spokane killed its second penalty of the evening. The Chiefs were whistled four times in the second period.

Raiders Dakota Conroy and Shane Danyluk each had two goals for Prince Albert. Former Chiefs player Collin Valcourt started for the Raiders, but didn’t record a point.

Yamamoto and Chartier have enjoyed a newfound chemistry since January. Yamamoto, a Spokane native, has scored three of his seven total goals since the New Year, with Chartier collecting an assist on each score. Chartier has 14 total assists on the season.

The Chiefs' next game will be on the road in Cranbrook, B.C. to face the Kootenay Ice on Friday. Game time will be 6:00 pacific time.

Spokane returns home this Saturday, February 22nd as they play to the same Ice squad on Breast Cancer Awareness Night presented by Mike’s Hard Pink Lemonade. Chiefs players will wear special jerseys and helmets commemorating breast cancer, with the jerseys being auctioned off and the helmets raffled away. Tickets for Saturday night are available in-person at the Chiefs' Ticket Office, over the phone at (509) 535-PUCK, via TicketsWest outlets and online at www.ticketswest.com.
