Drive-By Shooting In Grant County; Authorities Looking For Witnesses

Posted: Updated:

PRESS RELEASE FROM GRANT COUNTY: Nobody was injured last night during a drive-by shooting in the Larson Housing Area north of Moses Lake.

Several people called 9-1-1 around 10:15 p.m. for shots fired in the 1200 block of Arlington Drive Northeast. Callers reported the fleeing vehicle as a black SUV, a black two door passenger car or a blue Chevrolet Alero.

Several deputies were in the Larson Housing Area on patrol and arrived quickly on Arlington. Officers did make several traffic stops on possible suspect vehicles but no suspects were found.

Six bullets hit the house at 1207 Arlington. Nobody was injured. Five of the bullets were recovered and sent to the state crime lab for analysis. The shooting is likely gang related.

The investigation continues. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Grant County Sheriff’s Office at 509-762-1160 or send information to crimetips@co.grant.wa.us.

Sheriff Jones has announced a town hall meeting for the Larson community to discuss the recent shootings. That meeting is scheduled for Wednesday Feb. 26 at 7 p.m., at the Grant County Sheriff's substation, 1274 Lowry St., Moses Lake. Community members are encouraged to attend.
