    SPOKANE COUNTY, Wash. - Spokane County road crews will be out plowing and sanding all of the priority 1 roads in the unincorporated parts of Spokane County Monday night and into Tuesday morning.>>
    SPOKANE COUNTY, Wash. - Spokane County road crews will be out plowing and sanding all of the priority 1 roads in the unincorporated parts of Spokane County Monday night and into Tuesday morning. The County says crews will be working around the clock to clear more than 2,500 miles of roadway. >>

TRAVEL ALERT: It's snowing on Snoqualmie Pass....we're predicting 5 to 7 inches of snow today. Chains are required.

Today: Mostly cloudy skies with off and on snow flurries starting late this morning and lasting into the afternoon. High Temperatures: 30°

Tonight: The moisture that made for some flurries today will start to move south of the region tonight. As we clear up, temperatures will drop. Prepare for a cold start to Tuesday morning. Low: 17°

Tuesday: Clearing skies overnight leads to a mostly sunny day on Tuesday, and temperatures will start to warm up through the rest of the week. High 36°. Warmer temperatures will help melt off the snow around the region.

    SAN LEANDRO, Calif. (AP) - Authorities say a Northern California firefighter was mauled in the face by a pit bull after helping extinguish a house fire.    The East Bay Times reports Alameda County Fire Battalion Chief John Whiting received "extremely severe facial damage" in the attack Saturday in San Leandro.    Division Chief Alan Evans says Whiting required extensive reconstructive surgery.

    CLEARWATER COUNTY, Idaho - A Clearwater County Sheriff's deputy responded to a report of a vehicle crash early Saturday morning on the Old Peck Grade.  Deputies report that 34-year-old Casey White, of Kuna, Idaho, was driving a 2011 Chevrolet pickup owned by his passenger, 35-year-old Kenneth Garland. White said the roadway gave way and the pickup rolled five or six times down an embankment.
