SPOKANE COUNTY, Wash. - Last week, KHQ told you about a robbery at north Spokane board shop, where at least two people were caught on camera walking in the store, stealing merchandise, and walking out. One of the suspects even kicked the store owner as he tried to confront her while she fled the store. On Monday, the Spokane County Sheriff's Department announced they have made two arrests in the case.

The robbery took place on February 17th and three days later an off-duty Sheriff's Deputy spotted the getaway SUV at an inn in north Spokane. Once the Chevy Blazer left the inn, two deputies pulled it over. The driver, 27-year-old John Peterson was arrested for outstanding felony warrants. Deputies say he was also in possession of one $10 and two $20 counterfeit bills, as well as a fake Oregon State driver's license.

The second suspect, 24-year-old Stephanie Meyers, and another unidentified man were arrested back at their room at the inn. Both were booked on outstanding warrants.

Both Peterson and Meyers admitted to stealing from the Let It Ride Board shop on February 17th, but Meyers denied assaulting the owner of the store. Meyers and Peterson were charged with 2nd Degree Robbery.

Peterson told deputies the counterfeit money had been printed by another man. That case has been turned over the Secret Service.
