SPOKANE COUNTY, Wash. - Detectives with the Spokane County Sheriff's Office are looking for more victims of a 24-year-old Spokane man already charged with multiple crimes.

After a lengthy investigation, the Spokane County Sheriff's Office Domestic Violence Detectives charged 24-year-old Michael J. McNearney on counts of Indecent Liberties, First Degree Theft - DV, Unlawful Imprisonment - DV, and Fourth Degree Assault - DV.

McNearney was out on bail on charges for Second Degree Assault by Strangulation - DV, but was booked into jail Friday on the new charges which involve three separate victims.

Detectives say McNearney has been the subject of a lengthy investigation into possible charges of Identity Theft, Assault, Threats and other crimes which may involve over a dozen woman in Spokane and Kootenai County, dating back to 2010. Detectives say McNearney met most of the women involved at night clubs and bars, as well as social media and online dating sites. The Sheriff's Office is working with the Coeur d'Alene Police, Spokane Police, and Post Falls Police Departments in contacting any victims or witnesses as they try to get information and evidence that could tie McNearney to any of these new crimes.

The Sheriff's Office is releasing his photo in hopes that more victims will come forward. They say he often claims he is an active duty Marine in an attempt to gain favor and credibility, but his service in the military has never been confirmed.

If you believe you have been the victim of a crime or have information involving Michael McNearney, please call Crime Check immediately at 456-2233, or the law enforcement agency in your area to file a report.
