SPOKANE, Wash. -

Spokane Police are investigating an armed robbery of a coffee stand here in northwest Spokane, the second one in the last two weeks.

It happened just before 8:00pm Friday night at Jitterz Java on the 2100 of west Northwest Boulevard.

An employee working inside noticed a man standing outside the drive-up window and when she opened the window the man set a black handgun on the counter and demanded all the money out of the cash register.

The woman handed him an unknown amount of cash and the man took off.

Witnesses say he then got into an early 90's white Chevy Suburban driven by another white man. Officers responding stopped a couple vehicles in the area but were not able to find the suburban. The robbery suspect is described as a white, in his 20's, and about 5'8" to 5'10". He was wearing a black jacket and a black scarf covering most of his face.

Detectives are now working on recovering surveillance video from the stand.

They're also looking into another armed robbery at the exact same stand last week to see if the two are related.

Anyone with any information is asked to call Crime Check at 456-2233.
