COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho - A 32-year-old Coeur d'Alene man will spend at least the next 25 years in prison for Lewd and Lascivious Conduct and Sexual Battery of a Minor Under 16. District Judge Fred Gibler sentenced Justin Wheeler on Monday to at least 25 years and up to life in prison.

Wheeler plead guilty to the charges back in October of 2013. Five months earlier, the Coeur d'Alene Police began investigating reports that Wheeler had inappropriate sexual contact with children ranging from 5 to 12 years old. During their investigation, Wheeler admitted to detectives that he had sexually abused several young children.

Several of the victims' family members testified against Wheeler at the sentencing hearing, and Judge Gibler listened to that testimony and took into account Wheeler's "ongoing predatory conduct" when handing down the potential life sentence. The sentence guarantees that Wheeler will not be released from prison until 2039, and will only be released if the Bureau of Corrections determines he can be released back into society, while adequately protecting children.

NOT in a microwave. For this reason a new prank-challenge going around on Facebook is resulting in some hilarious text conversations between mothers and their grown children.
