POST FALLS, Idaho - A 20-year-old father has been arrested in Post Falls after his four-month old child was found unconscious on Tuesday night.

Officers say they responded to the home in the 1900 block of E. Coeur d'Alene Avenue after the father called to say he found his child in the back bedroom unresponsive and not breathing. Officers immediately started first-aid and paramedics later arrived and observed possible bruising to the back of the child's head.

After additional examination at the Kootenai Medical Center, doctors located serious head trauma and the child was airlifted to Sacred Heart in Spokane to undergo emergency surgery.

While inside the apartment in Post Falls, Officers found drug paraphernalia and noticed a strong smell of marijuana. Officers questioned the father, identified as 20-year-old Jeremiah D. Weaver of Post Falls, but he denied doing anything wrong.

Weaver was taken to the Post Falls Police Department for more questioning. After speaking with detectives, Weaver was arrested for Felony Injury to a Child and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Weaver is currently being held on a $100,000 bond.

The exact condition of the child is unknown.

This is a developing story, and we will update it with more information as soon as possible.

STEVENS COUNTY, Wash. - It's been nearly two years since anyone has seen or heard from Paul Brazeau. He was last seen at his son's wedding. His brokenhearted family reached out to KHQ's Hayley Guenthner with a letter asking for his case to be featured in our Q6 Cold Case series. The day Paul vanished started out so wonderful. "It was a happy day," said Paul's aunt Georgine Glatt.
