The Gonzaga men advanced to the WCC Semifinals thanks to David Stockton's buzzer beating layup to defeat Santa Clara at the Orleans Arena on Saturday night.
The Gonzaga men's basketball team defeated Santa Clara, 77-75, in the West Coast Conference Tournament Quarterfinals thanks to a second-half comeback and a game-winning layup by David Stockton with less than 2 seconds left in the game on Saturday, March 8, at the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas, NV.

The Broncos (14-19, 6-12 WCC) led for the majority of the game, including a 37-31 lead going into the half, thanks to Jared Brownridge's hot hand. The freshman guard scored 24 points, going 4-of-7 from three-point range, and gave the Zags (26-6, 15-3 WCC) defense problems all night.

Gonzaga was led by Sam Dower Jr.'s 23 points as the senior center was a perfect 15-15 from the charity stripe. Przemek Karnowski finished with a double-double, he added 16 and grabbed 12 rebounds. Gary Bell Jr. had 13 points, while Stockton finished with 8 points and a team-high 4 assists.

The victory marked head coach Mark Few's 400th-career win.

The Bulldogs will play the winner of Pepperdine vs. Saint Mary's at the Orleans Arena on Monday, March 10, in the semifinal round.
