Flathead Sees Naturally Triggered Avalanches

Posted: Updated:
KALISPELL -

A special warning from the Flathead Avalanche Center puts the latest snow slide risk at high.

They're saying they've been getting reports of naturally triggered avalanches this week.

On the Center's web site, it says BNSF reported wet slab activity in the John F Stevens Canyon.

They also got a report of a natural avalanche in Canyon Creek.

The next advisory comes out Wednesday.
