KENNEWICK, Wash. - The Spokane Chiefs were defeated 3-0 by the Tri-City Americans on Saturday night, marking the end of the Chiefs' regular season schedule. The Chiefs finish the year with an 0-1 record versus the rival Americans.

Jessey Astles, who scored twice in the Chiefs' 4-3 shootout win on Friday, scored at the 14:24 mark open the contest in the 1st Period. The unassisted goal was Astles' 11th of the season and fourth overall versus the Chiefs.

The 2nd Period would be all Americans as they scored twice on the power play while holding the Chiefs scoreless on two of their own one-man advantages. Parker Bowles netted his 14th and Beau McCue tallied his 20th goal of the season to put the Chiefs behind by the final score.

Eric Williams started the game for Spokane and stopped 11 of 14 shots before being replaced by Garret Hughson at the 9:27 mark of the 2nd Period. Hughson finished the game, stopping all 11 shots faced. Spokane was outshot 25-18 on the night.

The Chiefs finished 0 for 3 on the power play and 5 for 7 on the penalty kill.

With the loss, the Chiefs are locked in to the 6th Seed in the Western Conference and will face the Victoria Royals in the 1st Round. The schedule for the playoffs is yet to be finalized.
