Man Accused of Attempting to Ram Police Officers is Caught

YAKIMA, WA. -- An update Sunday on the man wanted in connection with the Yakima Police Department's latest officer-involved shooting.

Police caught him around 10 o'clock Saturday night. According to officers, 45-year-old Jack Gallagher tried to run them over with his car on Friday night before he got away.

He was treated at a local hospital for unknown injuries before getting booked into the Yakima County Jail.

Glen Squires with the Washington Grain Commission says the current average price per bushel of wheat is around $6.20 down from last year's price at $7.53. Dry conditions in Eastern Washington is also taking its toll on wheat farmers. >>
