Detectives Uncover 75 Marijuana Plants In An Illegal Grow Operation

WSP detectives uncovered an "elaborate" marijuana grow operation in the old Plaza Garage Supply store in Plaza Washington. WSP detectives uncovered an "elaborate" marijuana grow operation in the old Plaza Garage Supply store in Plaza Washington.
PLAZA, Wash. -

Washington State Patrol detectives uncovered an "elaborate" marijuana grow operation in the old Plaza Garage Supply store in Plaza, Washington recently. According to Washington State Patrol Detectives, 75 marijuana plants were seized at the grow operation along with several grow lights and equipment. Detectives set up surveillance outside the property for several months. According to court documents, the alleged grow operation was using 4,526.33 kilowatts of power per month. Inland Power says the average residential consumer uses 1,500 kilowatts per month.

Inside the building detectives say they found 3 marijuana grow rooms. According to court documents, investigators say there could have been up to 8 grow lights inside. Detectives seized computers, business records and more than $5,000 in cash from the raid. Detectives believe the operation had been in business since 2011. 3 people are named in court documents however no arrests have been made yet, and no charges have been filed.

WSP says the investigation is still on going.
