Cheifs Fall to Victoria in Game One

After giving up a first period goal and equalizing in the third frame, the Spokane Chiefs fell to Victoria in game one of the pair's WHL playoff series thanks to an overtime goal by the Royals' defensemen Travis Brown. 

Riley Whittingham scored the game-tying goal in the third period to force overtime, but Brown's goal the brick wall that had been Eric Williams all night long to give Victoria the opening win. Williams finished with 31 saves.

The series will continue tomorrow, Mar. 23, at the Save-On-Foods Memorial Arena at 5:05 p.m.
