Lucas Morgan, 16, was born with Down syndrome and was diagnosed with leukemia at the age of 14.  He's been to the verge of death and back, and now his life has more meaning than ever. SPOKANE COUNTY, Wash. - We can all learn a lesson or two from Olivia Prater. Just 17 years old and a junior at Mt. Spokane High School, she's been inspired by her friendship with a fellow junior who has endured more than most. Lucas Morgan, 16, was born with Down syndrome and was diagnosed with leukemia at the age of 14.

He's been to the verge of death and back, and now his life has more meaning than ever. This is the story of Morgan's friendship with Prater and her inspiration to help other children fighting cancer, while bringing out the superhero in us all.

Kathy Kohlieber broke her pelvis and had to be sent to Multicare Valley Hospital. She’s been there since the incident Saturday evening around 5 p.m. Kathy says she went to Walmart, “to get a bag of Cosmos caramel corn, which is so good.”

    PULLMAN, Wash. - Following the loss of Washington State quarterback Tyler Hilinski, business in the Pullman area are coming together for a good cause.  Several Pullman restaurants, bars and coffee shops are participating in the Dine Out for #3 event on Tuesday, Feb. 20, in an effort to start a conversation about suicide prevention, raise awareness and reduce the stigma associated with mental illness, including depression.
