Idaho Authorities on Lookout for Alleged Montana Rapist

MISSOULA -

Idaho authorities are on the lookout for a Montana man who is accused of rape in Mineral County.

Shoshone County Sheriff's officials said they're searching for William Riley Baldwin, age 37, who's currently on probation in Missoula County.

Deputies attempted to stop a vehicle they believed was Baldwin's, but the driver fled the scene on foot and was never identified.

Montana Department of Corrections information shows Baldwin's criminal history includes burglary and "accountability for operation of a clandestine lab."

Baldwin is described as 5'9" tall, 200 lbs, with hazel eyes.

He has tattoos on his upper arms and scars on his hands.

If you see Baldwin, report his location to the Shoshone County Sheriff's Office at 208-556-1114.

Sheriff's officials say there is currently no warrant out for Baldwin's arrest, but charges may be filed in Mineral County.

The Interior Department is rolling back its plan to increase fees at 17 of the nation's most popular parks.  An interior official says the department is amending the plan following major backlash from the public.  The admission hike would have more than doubled fees during the peak summer season, forcing visitors to pay $70 a car. No word yet on exactly how the rates are being revised. >>
