Spokane Lilac Festival Telethon

SPOKANE, Wash. - KHQ is hosting a telethon with the Spokane Lilac Festival. Since 1938, the Spokane Lilac Festival Association (SLFA) has welcomed thousands of individuals into the Lilac Family as Directors, Volunteers, Royalty, Sponsors, Parade participants and more. Support the SLFA general fund, or donate to the Lilac Festival endowment fund and ensure that the SLFA will be celebrating Spokane for many many years to come.

From 7 am to 9:30 am on Saturday, April 25th you can donate make a donation over the phone by calling 509-443-1111.


And see you at the 76th Armed Forces Day Torchlight Parade at 7:45 PM on Saturday, May 16th!

HISTORY
For more than 77 years, the mission of the Spokane Lilac Festival Association has been to honor our military, recognize youth, and showcase the community. The Armed Forces Torchlight Parade held on Armed Forces Day, the 3rd weekend in May, is the centerpiece of their year-round effort and has become Spokane's legacy event. Run by hundreds of volunteers, the Lilac Association underwrites the Royalty Scholarship Program that works to develop Spokane's future female leaders and travels with the Lilac Festival float to events all over the Northwest representing the Spokane community.

    STEVENS COUNTY, Wash. - It's been nearly two years since anyone has seen or heard from Paul Brazeau. He was last seen at his son's wedding. His brokenhearted family reached out to KHQ's Hayley Guenthner with a letter asking for his case to be featured in our Q6 Cold Case series. The day Paul vanished started out so wonderful. "It was a happy day," said Paul's aunt Georgine Glatt.

    COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho - The Kootenai County Sheriff's Office says one man was detained following a SWAT situation near Rockford Bay Monday morning. The incident happened near Highway 95 and Bellgrove Road. Deputies say it was a domestic dispute and the 2nd time they had been called the home in the past 24 hours.
