For those who remember, or even those who were raised playing older video game systems, one of the Meccas of video gamedom has made a resurgence. R.B.I. Baseball is back!

Reported by Yahoo's Jeff Passan earlier today, R.B.I. Baseball, one of the most popular Nintendo Entertainment System games of all time will make a comeback.

R.B.I. Baseball wasn't just a popular game for the NES, it also set a trend for many games to come by becoming the first video game to be officially licensed by a professional players association, in this case the Major League Baseball Players Association. Meaning, for the first time the actual names of professional players could be used in game play.

This is the first game developed by Major League Baseball Advanced Media (MLBAM), the same company that runs MLB.com

"It excited me and frightened me at the same time," Jamie Leece of MLBAM said to Passan. "All the memories and expectations we have, it's intimidating. How do you do it right?"

Soon you'll get to find out. R.B.I. Baseball '14 will be released tomorrow, April 9, and available for download on Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and will cost $19.99. The game will also be available on iOS devices (iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch) for $4.99. The download will be available for XBOX One, Playstation 4 and Android devices later this spring.

Make sure to give Passan's article a read. It exudes nostalgia: http://yhoo.it/1kpenee
