KHQ.com - A devastating mudslide in Oso, Washington on March 22nd has so far claimed the lives of over 30 people, with many still missing. KHQ's Dylan Wohlenhaus spoke with one Bonners Ferry woman who knows all too well the destruction and tragedy a mudslide can bring.

Claudia Sommers talked about a mudslide in Bonners Ferry back in 1954 killed her family, and how she managed to survive.

It's a story she hopes will bring some sort of solace to those still affected by the mudslide in Oso.

    SPOKANE, Wash. - The collision on SR 291 near mile post 9 is now fatal according to Sacred Heart Hospital.A 17 year old female was driving in a four car sedan that was in the northbound lane going southbound when it struck the motorcycle head on.62 year old Robert White was taken to Sacred Heart Hospital where he was later pronounced dead. He was wearing a helmet.>>
