UPDATE: Wednesday morning, the Spirit Lake Police Department responded to the area of Middle Ave. in Spirit Lake where a suspicious device was found in a mailbox. SLPD and other agencies were called to the scene to investigate and once bomb squad inspected the mailbox they determined it was possible the device was a grenade.

A robot was brought on scene to retrieve the device and it was then determined that the device was only a toy.

The scare did cause a lock down in the town of Spirit Lake and some people in the immediate area were asked to evacuate. Here is the message that was initially posted on the Spirit Lake Police Department's Facebook Page:

"This morning there was a suspicious item discovered in the area of Middle Ave in Spirit Lake.

SLPD and other agencies are investigating the incident and at this time are asking that all area residents stay in their home unless contacted by law enforcement and asked to evacuate.

A reverse 911 message was sent to all residents east of 12th Ave between Blackwell and Deleware to notify them.

All outside traffic is advised to avoid that area of town.

SPOKANE, Wash. - Location, location, location.  You may have seen a post making its way around social media of a house listing in Seattle for nearly $450,000. That sounds about right for the area, right? Well this house is a bit of a fixer upper. The kind with lots of potential if you invest the time and money.  Currently, however, it is shown on the real estate site Redfin in less than perfect condition.
