UPDATE: Body Found In River Could Be Missing Idaho Man

Posted: Updated:
BOISE, Idaho (AP) - Eastern Oregon authorities say a body found in the Snake River on the Idaho-Oregon border carries the identification of a southwest Idaho man missing since late March.

The Wallowa County Sheriff's Office says the body found Wednesday 13 miles downstream from the Hells Canyon Dam boat launch is being taken to the Baker County medical examiner for positive identification.

Forty-two-year-old Ricky M. Flores of Caldwell went missing March 21 when a jet boat capsized near the dam, throwing its three occupants into the water.

Charles Gissel of Ontario, Ore., and Eric Meyerhoffer of Payette, Idaho, were able to get to shore. Search teams failed to find Flores.

The Oregon Department of Corrections says the three men worked at Snake River Correctional Institution near Ontario, Ore.
