WSU Preps for Spokane Week

PULLMAN, Wash. – The Washington State University Athletic Department will once again conclude spring football practice by hosting a week-long series of events known as Spokane Week.

Festivities begin Monday, April 21 with the Cougar Club Coaches Luncheon at the Red Lion at the Park, featuring Bill Moos and Mike Leach. Later that evening will be a Ladies Night Out with WSU Coaches and Administrators, including WSU Deputy Director of Athletics Anne McCoy and Women’s Basketball Coach June Daugherty, at Ferrante’s from 6-8 p.m.

Wednesday night will feature the Great Games in Cougar History at EPIC at Northern Quest Resort & Casino, where former Cougar greats Jason Gesser and Billy Newman will relieve WSU’s 2001 Sun Bowl victory over Purdue.

Additional events during Spokane Week include Monday morning’s Breakfast with Bill Moos at The Swinging Doors from 8:30-10 a.m., a Tuesday night Cougar Happy Hour at the Post Street Ale House from 4-6 p.m. with Cougar Hall of Famer Mark Rypien in attendance. There is also Friday’s Burgers with Bill Moos from noon-1 p.m. at The Ref in Spokane Valley followed by a golf outing at Circling Raven Golf Course from 1-6 p.m.

The week concludes Saturday with the Crimson and Gray Game at Joe Albi Stadium at 1 p.m. followed by an hour-long autograph session on the field.

      Jordan Miller's two interceptions and Myles Bryant's pick-6 helped the seventh-ranked Washington Huskies overcame a slow start and hand Colorado its first loss, 37-10.

    • Eagles beat Grizzlies 48-41 in Big Sky opener

      The 11th-ranked Eastern Washington University football team scored 42 second-half points to rally from a 24-6 halftime deficit and opened the 2017 Big Sky Conference season with a 48-41 victory over Montana.

    • Griz can't hold second half lead, lose to EWU 48-41

      Things were looking great going into halftime for the Montana Grizzlies. Up 24-6 on the number 11th ranked Eastern Washington Eagles, the Griz were feeling good. 

    • Rocky Defense Holds Yotes to 7 Points in Win

      The Rocky Mountain College football team scored 17 points in the fourth quarter to pull away from College of Idaho, 31-7, in Saturday’s Homecoming contest at Herb Klindt Field.

    Washington State University men's basketball opens up Pac-12 play with two-straight games at Los Angeles on ESPN2, first against UCLA, Friday, Dec. 29 at 8 p.m., followed by a trip to the Galen Center to take on USC.
