Shots Fired in Turah, Three Arrested

Posted: Updated:
TURAH - Three people are in jail after shots were fired during a family dispute Monday afternoon in Turah.

It happened about noon on Rustic Road. Sheriff's Deputy Paige Pavalone said a man had lent his sister and her boyfriend his car when he went out of town for the weekend. When the man arrived home to get his car, his sister wanted to retrieve something from it, but the brother wouldn't let her. The woman and her boyfriend tried getting into the car by breaking out a window. Pavalone said the brother assaulted the sister, causing her boyfriend to grab a pipe and started swinging it at the man. Pavalone said the brother then got a shotgun and fired a round into the air.

The woman was arrested for criminal trespassing to a vehicle, while her boyfriend was arrested for the same charge, as well as felony assault with a weapon. The brother was also arrested for partner family assault and  disorderly conduct for allegedly firing a shotgun round during the argument.

The Missoula County Sheriff's Office said no one was hurt. Deputies said the three should appear in Missoula County Justice Court
Tuesday afternoon.
