Structure Fire At Two Story Commercial Building In Coeur d'Alene

Posted: Updated:
COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho. - The Coeur d'Alene Fire Department responded to a structure fire just after 6am Thursday morning at a two-story commercial building in the 1400 block of N. Lincoln Way at Linden.

When they arrived at the office building they could see smoke coming up through the roof.

Firefighters went into the building and saw flames on the 1st and 2nd floor in the SW corner of the building.

The fire is now out but crews have been tossing furniture from the affected offices out the windows.

Nobody was inside of the building at the time of the fire because it was so early and investigators are now trying to figure out what caused the fire.

Lincoln/Highway 95 was closed off for a little over 2 hours but has since reopened to traffic.

Fire Crews are still investigating the damage caused to multiple different businesses in this fire, however, they do know that the business that was affected the most was Kootenai Family Dental. The unit, which was on the 2nd floor of the South side of the building appears to be a complete loss.

Kootenai Family Dental says they will keep all of their patients updated on their Facebook page. They are looking into the possibility of reopening at a temporary location in the next couple of days.
