JMR Graphics Responds to An Article Discussing a Georgia City that is Considering Using Digital Billboards in Place of Traditional Billboards

Nationwide vehicle wraps manufacturer JMR Graphics comments on an article discussing Gainesville’s plan to transition from traditional billboards to digital ones

BOHEMIA, NY / myprgenie.com / ACCESSWIRE / April 25, 2014 / JMR Graphics, a nationwide vehicle wraps manufacturer, responds to an article discussing concerns that Gainesville residents have with changing all billboards to digital.

According to an article published by Gainesville Times on April 6th titled “Gainesville considers allowing digital billboards,” Gainesville, Georgia is considering replacing all traditional billboards with digital billboards. Installing digital billboards throughout the city would cost between $100,000-$250,000 and the new billboards are predicted to last for approximately 7 years. The billboards have the capability of displaying a total of six different advertisements, rotating every 10 seconds.

For each digital billboard that is being constructed, two existing ones must be taken down. These new billboards will give the city a fresher, cleaner look. They will be connected with emergency notification systems, such as the Amber Alert, and show current weather, traffic, and other public safety information.

TJ Panell, a representative from nationwide vehicle wraps manufacturer JMR Graphics, says, “Compared to other forms of advertising, out of home advertising, such as billboards and vehicle wraps, has the biggest return on investment (ROI).  They also allow for mass exposure in geo-targeted areas.”
