Former Zag Standout Frieson Signs on With Kelly Graves, Oregon

Former Gonzaga University women's basketball standout Vivian Frieson will join Kelly Graves' staff at the University of Oregon after spending the 2013-14 season with the Bulldogs as an administrative assistant. 

Frieson was the first player from Gonzaga to be drafted by the WNBA when the Tulsa Shock selected her 31st overall in 2010. In the 2010 NCAA Women's Tournament Frieson hit the game-winning shot vs. Texas A&M to secure the Zags first ever Sweet 16 appearance. The product of  averaged 16 points, 8.7 rebounds, 3 assists, 3 blocks and 2 steals in Gonzaga's 2010 tournament run. 

In her four years with the Bulldogs Frieson averaged 8.6 points, 5.7 rebounds, 1.6 assists, 1.2 steals and 1 block per game and is fourth on Gonzaga's all-time list for career blocks (132). In her season Frieson averaged 12.5 ppg.

After being cut by the Tulsa Shock, Frieson played professionally in Sweden with Kvarnby Basketball and in Austrailia with the Townsville Fire before joining Gonzaga last season.
