Missoula in Running for Outside Magazine's "Best Town"

Posted: Updated:
MISSOULA - The city of Missoula could soon be named Outside Magazine's "Best Town in America."

Outside Magazine editors compiled a bracket of their 64 favorite towns in the country, and Missoula made the cut.

The Garden City also beat out Carson City, Nevada in the first round with 80% of the vote.

Editors were searching for towns with top-notch restaurants, vibrant farmers' markets and friendly neighborhoods.

"That's why, you know, Missoula was a no-brainer, is you know, people love living there, I think half the staff of Outside would live there if we could," said Jonah Ogles, an Outside Magazine editor.

Each round of voting on Outside Magazine's website lasts five days, and voters can vote once per round per match up.

The magazine will crown one winner on June 15.
