According to a press release, Robert Williston was taken into custody after Nez Perce County Sheriff's deputies and officers from the Lewiston Police department made contact with two male subjects and a female in the parking lot of Liberty Mart North in the 200 block of West 22nd Street North at about 12:41 a.m.

"During this contact it was found that one of the male subjects, later identified as Robert Michael Williston, 47-year-old male, had a confirmed Escape Warrant out of the Idaho Department Of Corrections (IDOC). Williston was taken into custody without incident," Cpl. Sam AuGello says in the press release.

His criminal record also includes convictions for grand theft and 1st-degree burglary in Madison County, grand larceny and fraudulent use of a financial transaction card in Ada County. Williston is not eligible for parole until 2021.
