UPDATE: Drivers Killed In Dump Truck Crash Identified

GRANT COUNTY, Wash. -

Two men were killed after a crash involving two dump trucks just southeast of Mattawa, Washington near Road O-Southwest and Road 27-Southwest.

Firefighters who responded to the scene say both trucks were on fire when they arrived. 

Grant County Sheriff's Deputies say the crash happened around 9:45am on Wednesday.

Officials have identified the two men as 53-year-old Bruce Patnode of Yakima and 45-year-old Dale Peters of Selah. The Sheriff's Office says both men were ejected from their trucks on impact and died at the scene. The trucks burst into flames. 

The traffic unit with the Grant County Sheriff's Office is investigating.
