WALLA WALLA, WA - The Walla Walla County Sheriff's Office has released new information on the investigation into Sunday's fatal car crash that killed three teenagers.

Deputies say Athena Bentley, 15, was driving the car at the time of the accident. She did not have a license and was not wearing a seatbelt. Uziel Bermoy, 16, was in the front passenger seat and was wearing a seatbelt. Aidan Boede, 17, was in the right rear passenger seat and not wearing a seatbelt. All three teens were killed while driving along Mill Creek Road when their car went off the road and rolled.

Deputies say Bentley was driving a 2005 Dodge Neon registered to Bermoy's father.

Autopsy results confirm speed to be a contributing factor in the accident. All three teenagers died of blunt force trauma. Toxicology results are pending and the accident is still under investigation.

"It's an important opportunity that we have right now to urge parents and family members to discuss traffic safety with their children. We need to remind those kids how important it is to obey traffic safety laws, to wear their sea belts, to drive safely, not be distracted by texting or talking on the phone and to not drink and drive," said Sheriff John Turner.
