COLFAX, Wash. - On Friday, Colfax High School went into a lock down around 8:30 a.m. and went out of the lock down at 8:45 a.m. The lock down was caused by a report that a student had a firearm.
School officials searched the student and found that the student possessed a non-functional bb gun. The police did an official investigation, then met with the student and the student's parents. The student was released to the parents and was not arrested.
The student however has been emergency expelled pending the outcome of the investigation.
There were no threats made to any individuals and all parents were notified of the lock down and the end of the lock down.
