LOUISVILLE, KY, June 02, 2014 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Louisville lawyer Karl Truman is pleased to announce he is participating in Honor Flight June 6th. Honor Flight honors Veterans by flying them to visit Washington D.C. so they can reflect their services and sacrifices. Mr. Truman also serves on the Board of Directors for Honor Fight, Bluegrass Chapter.

The June 6th flight is a monumental flight because it is the 70th Anniversary of D Day. Mr. Truman will fly with a Veteran to honor him and others for the sacrifices they have made for this Country. The first Honor Flight flew May 21, 2005 with six small planes.

"Each veteran is assigned a guardian to help them during the day and make sure they are taken care of," said Louisville lawyer Karl Truman. "The veteran I was paired with last year was a navigator on a B-17 in Europe during WWII and was shot down and spent 20 months in a German POW camp. I was so proud to get to spend the day with him. And look forward to this years' flight."

The Honor Flight Bluegrass Chapter is located in Louisville Kentucky. It is a non-profit, volunteer organization. According to the Honor flight website we lose WW II Veterans at the rate of 1500 per day. Their mission is to do what it takes to fulfill the dreams of hero's, and provides travel completely free. The chapter gives priority to senior Veterans of World War ll and veterans who are terminally ill.
