Greatest Spokane Indian Final Four: Vote Now!

It's hard to argue with the players who advanced to the final four, who will you vote for? It's hard to argue with the players who advanced to the final four, who will you vote for?
SPOKANE, Wash. -- So here it is, the final four. The search to find the greatest Spokane Indian to take the field at Avista Stadium is nearing the finish line. In just over a week the winner will be announced at the Indians first game of the season on Friday, June 13, at 6:30 p.m. PDT live on SWX.

Here are the pairings for the semi-final round

No. 1 Steve Garvey vs. No. 4 Ron Cey

Two of the greatest players in both Spokane Indians and Los Angeles Dodgers history square off. No one can argue that if they saw these two going head-to-head in the finals next week, both would deserve to win the title of Greatest Spokane Indian of All Time.

Cey is one of Washington's own, a native of Tacoma and a former Washington State University Cougar who has enough pull with the local fans that he defeated one of baseball's all-time icons, Tommy Lasorda, to advance. Garvey is the epitome of greatness when it comes to those who've taken to the diamond. A 10-time All-Star who won a National League MVP and the Roberto Clemente award for what he did in the community during his illustrious career.

Now it is up to you to send one of them through to the championship round!

No. 2 Ian Kinsler vs. No. 3 Carlos Beltran

It's really no surprise that two of the best current players to have spent a summer with the Indians made the cut to be in the final four. Both men are All-Star caliber professionals who proved their worth in both Spokane and the big league.

Kinsler is enjoying another All-Star season in his first year with the Detroit Tigers, and as everyone knows by now, is currently leading the race to be the second baseman at the 2014 All-Star game ahead of Seattle's Robinson Cano. The Tucson, Ariz. native was one of the major reasons the Texas Rangers won back-to-back American League pennants in 2010 and 2011. Will the title of Greatest Spokane Indian of All Time evade him like a World Series ring did both those years?

While Beltran has spent much of this season on the disabled list in his first year with the New York Yankees, there are few who are more deserving to make a final-four list when it comes to being the best-ever Spokane Indian. An eight-time All-Star who has made the mid-summer classic at age 35 and 36 with the St. Louis Cardinals the past two seasons has had a memorable career. Beltran should be in his twilight years in the MLB but he seems to have only gotten better with age.

Who will you send to the championship round?

Voting in this round will close on Sunday, June 8, at midnight (11:59:59) p.m. PDT! Vote below!
