PHOTOS: Miraculous Rescue Of Dog From Spokane River

Posted: Updated:
SPOKANE, Wash. - Around 12:30 on Wednesday, a technical rescue team responded to the Spokane River near Riverfront Park to attempt to rescue a helpless dog that somehow had been swept away by the rapids. When crews arrived, they could see the dog attempting to swim but they did not expect the dog would survive with the time it would take to reach it.

After scaling down a rocky wall, rescuers miraculously reached the dog and lifted it up to safety. SCRAPS told us they actually tried to catch the same dog Tuesday evening after it got loose at the fairgrounds, scared by the thunderstorms.
